Insomniac describes early gameplay in Resistance 3

During the PlayStation Experience in London, Insomniac's Jon Paquette and Ryan Schneider chatted with the EU PS Blog about Resistance 3 which made its first public appearance at the event.

The gameplay shown for Resistance 3 at PlayStation Experience takes place early in the game in Haven, Oklahoma. This is where the main character Joseph Capelli and his family have been hiding out during the years following Resistance 2. Unfortunately for him, the Chimera have discovered Haven, and are in route with a terraformer hell-bent on wiping the town off the face of the earth.

According to Insomniac., this time around, Capelli is more concerned with protecting his family than killing Chimera but "like an old gunslinger," he is once again forced into facing off against his biggest foe.

It's basically what you watched in the trailer posted yesterday.

Resistance 3 releases on September 6 in the US. No European date as yet.
