Infinite Super Hunter Exotic almost makes up for getting the least useful class ability for co-op in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 grants Hunter players the opportunity to become an orb-generating machine. Go wild.

We're enjoying Destiny 2 so far, and especially having a nice time trying out all the shiny new weapons and armour pieces on offer.

Naturally the Exotic weapons have been a big draw and make up a make up a fair slice of the best weapons in Destiny 2 - but you shouldn't look past Exotic armour.

As part of our Destiny 2 guide, we're delighted to highlight a superb build centred around a fancy bit of Exotic Hunter armour.

Arekkz has all the details on the Orpheus Rig, which has an almost Warlock-like ability to set up very rewarding gameplay loops. Like to play Nightstalker? Like to make orbs for your allies? Just like to win? Oh, you're really gonna want this one.

What makes the Orpheus Rig so great is that it charges your grenade, melee and even Super ability for every enemy you tether with Shadowshot. Pop your Super in a big enough crowd - say eight or so, which is nothing exceptional at all a busy public event or a Thrall swarm - and Shadowshot will will recharge instantly.

Not only does this mean more chances to use your Super, but it also means you'll have more opportunities to create Orbs of Light and charge everyone else's Supers, too. It's not even necessary to take the the Hunter Nightstalker subclass upgrade route which makes extra orbs for each enemy killed while tethered, since you'll be able to pop your Super again almost instantly.

I myself received the Orpheus Rig in a lucky Heroic Public Event Exotic drop and can confirm: is it a lot of fun. Not only does it look really cool with the Hunter's snake logo and those Void arrows in the hip quiver, but it really does allow you to unleash some crazy mayhem. Unfortunately, it's a random Exotic drop; there's no guaranteed path to obtain it.

Making Orbs of Light for allies has always been an important part of high-level Destiny play such as Raids and endgame Strikes, and being able to do so gives Hunters a co-op group role they had previously been lacking in Destiny 2. Sure, Titans can make barriers and Warlocks can set healing or buffing rifts, but can they make it rain like this? I think not.
