Infamous: Second Son screens are oddly muted

Sony sent over some new Infamous: Second Son screens, and they're strangely subdued. Is it the late afternoon sunlight, the misty rain, or the fact that only one shows an explosion? Mysterious.
Infamous: Second Son was one of the first PlayStation 4 games to be revealed at the hardware's debut, but isn't due till early 2014. It forsakes former series protagonist Cole in favour of a new hero whose power is to absorb those of other super-powered folk; the first one he gets is the control of smoke. We haven't got very much InFamous: Second Son gameplay footage but what we have seen looks pretty shiny.
