inFamous 2 single-player is Sucker Punch's "main focus", still "considering"multiplayer
inFamous 2 designer Darren Bridges has reiterated that Sucker Punch is currently focused on the single-player portion of the game, and any other additions such as multiplayer, Move or 3D support are "being considered".
Speaking at Eurogamer Expo 2010 today, Bridges' comment reflects what Hip Hop Gamer was told at PAX last month.
"Sony has a lot of great technologies: 3D, Move, multiplayer. We're looking into all of them," said Bridges. "The single-player campaign is our main focus and then we're going to look at those other features and see if they fit in."
Bridges also provided a demonstration of inFamous 2 at the Expo, taking attendees through New Morais and showing off the new parkour system and Cole's powers.
The designer didn't go into details regarding the morality system during his demonstration, but he said it would be "a pillar of inFamous 2" claiming the team "haven't talked a lot about it yet, but it's definitely coming back."
"We want players to have a different experience based on how they play," he said.
Bridges also said he couldn't "talk about" the ability to carry over characters from the previous game, but he did confirm the inclusion of side missions.
"They were actually a bigger success than we thought," he said, [but] there were some that sucked. They're going to be coming back. They're a big focus for us as well."
inFamous 2 is out in 2011 for PS3.
