Indie Game: The Movie selected for 2012 Sundance Film Festival's World Documentary Competition
Indie Game: The Movie, a feature documentary about "video games, their creators and the craft," will make its world premiere as an official selection in World Documentary Competition at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
The film follows video game developers as they create and release their games, and features familiar names such as Team Meat's Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes, FEZ's Phil Fish, and the story behind the creation of Jonathan Blow’s Braid.
Directed, produced, and created solely by James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot, Indie Game: The Movie follows the aforementioned developers as through the creative process, and find that "making fun and games is anything but fun and games."
Previous entries in the Sundance category the film will be featured in include: Super Size Me, Born Into Brothels, Man on Wire, The Cove and Waiting for Superman.
