Inafune: Soul Sacrifice idea originated after Capcom departure
Keiji Inafune said the idea of his latest game Soul Sacrifice was devised after he left Capcom as the head of its R&D back in October 2010.
The developer told Famitsu a fantasy online game with action themes was one of seven or eight idas he drew up after his Capcom exit.
He then proceeded to talk to Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida about the idea and how he wanted to make it for a worldwide audience.
Inafune was then asked to come back with a fleshed out design document after being keenly advised by Yoshida to do just that following their meeting.
Inafune added he'd like to get the public to play it as soon as possible, with a first showing likely to come at TGS in September.
Soul Sacrifice comes to Vita sometime this year in Japan with no launch date for the west. Watch for a Keiji Inafune interview on the site from Jem Alexander soon.
Thanks, Andriasang.
