Immortal: Unchained is a Souls-like shooter-RPG hybrid
Immortal: Unchained may have one of the most strange pitches in a while, but that's also what makes it interesting.
Developed by Swedish outfit Toadman, Immortal: Unchained is described as a challenging action RPG set in a futuristic world, only you're able to use to guns.
Unlike Bloodborne, though, it seems guns will play a larger part in combat here. There are different types of firearms, and they can be used in close-quarters as well as mid-range. Together with the rest of the game's mechanics such as dodge, you'll be able to land flashy hits.
The developer wears the Souls inspirations on its sleeve, even down to recreating a similar system to bonfires, complete with losing your bounty when you die. The story, too, will be vague and only told through chatting with NPCs.
Toadman released the trailer above alongside the first screens. The premise definitely sounds interesting, but there's a lot more we need to know and see.
Immortal: Unchained is out in Q2 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
