As per the terms of the Ice Bucket Challenge, Fergusson upended ice water over himself, videoed the process and donated to ALS research.

Unfortunately, the video was shared on Facebook so we can't embed it, but it's a public post so you can go have a look.

You probably know what to expect by now; Fergusson is only the latest industry insider to take the challenge, following Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson and Xbox boss Phil Spencer.

The scheme has raised over $15 million in less than one month. Find out more and get involved.

Fergusson was one of Epic's lead creatives on the Gears of War franchise, and jumped ship first for Irrational games and later for Microsoft, where he leads Black Tusk, the new developer of Gears of War.
