I have no idea what is going on in J-Stars Victory VS+ but I kind of like it

In this J-Stars Victory VS+ trailer, we see - uhh. Well. We certainly see some things.

Look y'all, I was a massive weaboo in high school, but that was back in the dark ages when we had to take out Manga Entertainment VHS tapes from dingy little specialist rental joints that were literally underground, and most of the time had to ask seniors to lend us their IDs to get them, because they were all R18+. I saw the uncensored version of Urotsukodoji at a far too tender age to consider myself anything but an old school, dyed in the bone anime fan.

But now I am approximately 347 years old and wow, did I lose touch - even before it all turned into Naruto and Bleach. I save all my obsessive enthusiasm for games now. What is going on in anime and manga nowadays? What do the "kids" enjoy? Is any of it not based around excessive merchandising? Can I watch any of it in front of my parents without being embarrassed?

Don't fill me in; I'm not actually looking for answers. I'm merely spouting some hopefully amusing self-parodic nonsense to fill up the space where I should tell you all about J-Stars Victory VS+, a versus fighter drawn from the pages of Shonen Jump, a weekly Japanese manga anthology which debuted some of modern anime's best-loved and most well-known figures.

Except I don't know anything to tell you. According to the accompanying description, we here see Bo-bobo battling Saiki. Cool.
