The video above from NintenDaan gives you a look at new characters unlockable in the Wii U version via a download code. These new characters along with various stages are included in the 3DS version.

Once the code included with the game package is entered, the following 3DS characters will be playable in Hyrule Warriors on Wii U:  Tetra, King of Hyrule, Toon Link, Skull Kid and Linkle.

NintenDann has also posted videos of Linkle and Skull Kid gameplay. Be sure to check those out.

At the end of this post is also another look at gameplay shown by Koei Tecmo, with producer Yosuke Hayashi and voice actress Ruriko Aoki manning the controls.

Nintendo also announced that amiibo characters based in the The Legend of Zelda universe scanned into the 3DS game will provide one rare weapon.

Any other amiibo in your collection scanned will provide random drops such as materials or rupees. Each are only able to be scanned once per day.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will release a day earlier than originally planned in Europe due to Good Friday weekend. This means it will be made available on March 24 instead of March 25.

Nintendo North America has yet to confirm whether this is the case in the US. Until then, continue to expect it on March 25.

That same day, those in Europe will also be able to pick up the New 3DS XL Hyrule Edition which is gold and adorned with the Hylian Crest.

Hyrule Warriors Legends was announced for 3DS during Nintendo’s E3 2015 presentation. It is the handheld version of Hyrule Warriors which was released on Wii U in 2014.

Big thanks: Nintendo Everything, Siliconera (links in post above).
