The Legend of Zelda's hack and slash off-shoot Hyrule Warriors sees Link, Zelda, Impa and Midna battering massive waves of enemies across Nintendo's colourful world. If you like hitting things in games then you should check out this 40-minute E3 2014 gameplay demo.

It follows the reveal of Nintendo's open world The Legend of Zelda title for Wii U. It's out in 2015. Hit the link for the E3 2014 announcement trailer.

Here's the new Hyrule Warriors footage, courtesy of Nintendo.

You can see Twilight Princess character Midna phasing into Link's wolf form to perform attacks, and Link gets a chance to cut his way through through scores of enemies. The game is coming to Wii U on September 26.
