Hyper Jam is a new arena brawler coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, with cross-platform multiplayer
Hyper Jam is an arena brawler featuring katana-wielding, and rocket launcher-totting characters duking it out in neon-lit future cities.
Developed by indie team Bit Dragon, Hyper Jam supports local, and online brawls for up to four players. Where it gets interesting is what happens between rounds.
Winning in Hyper Jam requires staying alive and reaching a set score. To help struggling players, the game offers a random set of perks in between rounds. Those at the bottom of the board get first dibs, meaning they have a chance to turn the tide with the use of helpful perks, and abilities.
The game's environments are inspired by Neo-Tokyo and the like, but also feature other locations you don't typically associate with the genre. The arenas hide various hazards you can use to your advantage, as you're about to see in the trailer.
Hyper Jam will support cross-platform multiplayer between PC, and consoles. The game is due out February 12 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It's priced $13 on PC, and $15 on consoles.
