Humble Bundle loses it, ushers in the end times
This is it. The end times are upon us. Humble Bundle has started offering its ridiculously thrifty packs on a daily basis. Empty your hard drives.
"Have we lost our minds?!" Humble wrote in an email announcing the scheme. Yeah, guys? Maybe.
Starting this morning, the bundle portal is offering a bundle every day for two weeks.
Happily for those of us whose hard drives are already brimming with cheap games, these bundles are mostly repeats - old favourites and success stories, with maybe a few extras thrown in to tempt you to part with your $5 again.
Today's returning star is the Humble Deep Silver Bundle, which originally launched in July 2013. Pay what they want for Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row 2, Risen 2: Dark Waters and Sacred 2: Gold Edition. Beat the aeverage price for Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition, Saints Row: The Third - The Full DLC Package, Metro 2033, Risen and Sacred Citadel. Fork over $9 or more for Dead Island: Riptide - Complete Edition - well down from the $25 buy-in required the first time this bundle graced us.
This Deep Silver bundle is up until 11:00AM PT May 14, when it will be replaced by the next offer, which will last 24 hours before being replace - and so on and so on, for two whole weeks. Oh my god. I need a new HDD.
As ever, it's all pay-what-you-want, with a slice of the revenue channeled to various charities at your discretion, and there are various DRM-free and multi-platform options available depending on bundle. Really, is there any reason not to buy into Humble Bundles?
