Human Resources Kickstarter cancelled by Planetary Annihilation dev
Planetary Annihilation developer Uber Entertainment has found success with the first game they put on Kickstarter. The team couldn't replicate the same success with Human Resources, it has announced.
Human Resources was supposed to be the next project on Uber Entertainment's docket following the success of the Planetary Annihilation Kickstarter campaign. The studio has realised however that Human Resources' Kickstarter campaign is bound for a different fate.
The campaign -started earlier this month, and was cancelled by the developer today. Design director John Comes posted an update on the campaign's Kickstarter page.
"The time has come to shut down the Kickstarter for Human Resources," he said. "Every Kickstarter prediction model is showing that we will come up woefully short of our goal.
"Running a Kickstarter is a full time job for several people. As a small indie, we can’t continue spending time and money focusing on a project that won’t get funded."
Comes added that the team is very grateful to everyone who backed the project in any way.
Human Resources was pitched as a real-time strategy game set in the "remains of a shattered Earth" with asymmetrical factions. The game was also going to have similar tone to classic Command & Conquer games.
