House of the Dead: Overkill heading for an iOS release

The Lost Reels is a remixed port of the original 2009 House of the Dead shooter and is set for release on iOS tonight. Broken into three "movies" or parts, the initial download offers the first movie, Papa's Palace of Pain, and on playthrough will unlock the second movie, Ballistic Trauma. Naked Terror, the third part, must be purchased though. Each movie is made up of four levels and a boss battle.

Courtesy of Shack News, which reports $4.99 buys the first download of two parts, with the third costing $1.99 via an in-app purchase.

Weapon purchases and upgrades are offered in the game with the option to buy "Koins" with in-app purchases to speed the process up. Upgrades are permanent and other temporary items are available to earn or buy to boost damage.

Control options are virtual analog controls or accelerometer aiming, with "Frenzy Tap" listed but not available to use, perhaps an option that makes the game too simple.
