Team Cherry is back at it again with their Discord riddles. Another riddle went out to the developer's Discord server yesterday, which has resulted in another brand new character being shown off for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
The new character for Silksong was revealed late last night over on the Hollow Knight subreddit, after the latest riddle on the Hollow Knight Discord server was solved by fans. This character's name is Seth, and we can see a very brief glimpse of them in action in a short gameplay clip, where they use their shield like a boomerang to try and batter Hornet.
It turns out this is actually a fan-created character for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Around three months ago, a user on the Hollow Knight subreddit stated that they had Ewing Sarcoma, a form of cancer, and that their wish was to talk to Team Cherry, developers of Hollow Knight and the Silksong sequel.
Following on in the same post, the user stated that after talking to Team Cherry, the developer allowed the fan to create their very own character for Silksong, which they've named Seth after themselves. Unfortunately, one Reddit user saying they're a friend of Seth's says he died several weeks ago.
If this Discord riddle news sounds familiar, that's because it is. Earlier this year, Team Cherry unveiled the first new character for Hollow Knight: Silksong through a cryptic riddle posted to the game's Discord server. This character is called Huntress, and you can see them just below. Seth appears to be one of several revealed in this fashion, which seems like it's becoming something of a trend for Team Cherry.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is still awaiting a launch date. There hasn't been any major announcement in that arena for a while now, but when it it does launch, it'll be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch.
