Hideo Kojima reveals the new Kojima Productions mascot
At the tail end of last year, following his exit from Konami, legendary creator Hideo Kojima established a new studio, also titled Kojima Productions, and showed off a new logo.
The logo featured a mechanised helmet enclosing a skull, and looked pretty stylish. This is actually the face of a new company mascot, as the designer revealed this week.
Kojima tweeted a full image of the mascot. He's called Ludens, and it's going to be the studio's "icon."
Ludens is wearing a "extra-vehicular activity (EVA) creative suit", and Kojima added that the team will deliver "The new play in the new future with the cutting-edge equipment, technology, & the frontier spirit."
We know next to nothing about Kojima's next game, but we do know it'll be produced in partnership with Sony for PlayStation 4 and PC.
