In this Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain video starring Hideo Kojima features the creator discussing how much the series means to him, and how it would never have been possible without its fans.
In the video, Kojima also apologizes for the game taking so long to complete, and that he feels he has created something very special which he hopes everyone enjoys.
Troy Baker is also in the video, and in one segment, Kojima visits fan Sean Gillespie's home to let the family know the game has been completed and to deliver signed copies to them. Kojima had made Sean an honorary member of the Metal Gear Solid team.
Sean was huge fan of the series and passed away after a battle with cancer in February of this year. Grab a tissue for this segment as it is extremely moving and a great tribute to Sean.
