Hideki Kamiya teases Capcom collaboration, Bayonetta 3, and Okami 2

Hideki Kamiya is a tease.

Talking to GameCentral at E3, not only did he discuss Bayonetta 3 and an Okami sequel, he also made a sly reference to a possible Capcom collaboration.

In response to a comment about Bayonetta's hairstyle, Kamiya replied, "Then we will take that into account when we design her haircut when we start doing 3, if we ever make 3," apparently leaving both PR and journalists shocked.

"Of course we want to make 3," he said. " Why should it end at 2?" I'm sure fans of the series will be glad of his change of heart.

Admitting he hadn't broached the idea with publishers yet, he continued, "I’ve spent a lot of time thinking in my head what that game would be. I’ve got ideas in my head for Okami 2 as well...We’ve got other Scalebounds in our heads too."

Further into the interview, Kamiya was asked about comments he made in a 2015 interview about meeting with Jun Takeuchi to discuss "something perhaps happening between Platinum Games and Capcom."

"That conversation happened. I go drinking with Takeuchi quite a bit. And every time we go drink he’s like, ‘Let’s do something, man! Let’s do something, man!’ And I continue to say, ‘Let’s do something, man! Let’s do something!’"

At this point in the interview, Kamiya moved his jacket aside and pointed to the T-shirt he was wearing, featuring a wolf.

"I am stealing Phil’s gimmick," he said, referring to Microsoft's Phil Spencer and his penchant for wearing T-shirts that allude to future announcements at major events.

Capcom does hold the license for Okami so could it be that the sequel is already in talks?
