Hidden Dragon Legend is one of the best looking action side-scrollers you'll see this week
Hidden Dragon Legend may have a bit of generic name, but it more than makes up for it with its beautiful graphics.
Announced earlier this week, the game is developed by Chinese indie studio MegaFun Games. Hidden Dragon Legend uses the Unreal 4 engine, and it shows.
The game is a side-scrolling - 2.5D if you will - action game set in ancient China. The movement looks very smooth, and you're able to grapple and double jump making for some killer-looking combat.
Speaking of combat, the trailer shows some nice combos, air juggles and a blink-style ability. When set against the backdrop of ancient temples and rooftops at night, the style really shines. We also get to see a glimpse of one of the boss fights.
Publisher Oasis Games promised unlockable weapons and moves, and about ten hours of gameplay. You can see how great it all looks in the trailer below, via Gematsu.
It's due out this August on PS4, priced $20. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a PC version, but hopefully this won't be the case for long.
