Heroes of the Storm enters technical alpha, Blizzard will begin inviting players soon

Blizzard has announced that it will be holding what it's calling a technical alpha test of its upcoming MOBA, Heroes of the Storm.

In a blog post the developer noted that the purposes of this test will be to " help us better examine how our infrastructure and tech will function across a much broader spectrum of machines and connection types."

The developer adds that while the core gameplay is there, the game is far from finished or polished.

Blizzard will be sending out invites to a very limited number of players, and will continue to expand the pool as time goes on. The invites will be sent to United States players only, and with the exception of some press sites out of the US, the developer is not sure when it will be expanding it to other territories.

Emails will be sent to those chosen by Blizzard, and like any other Blizzard beta before it, you only need to make sure you've opted in beta testing.

Finally, the developer adds that when the invites start rolling out, there will be no NDA, and you'll be free to stream or otherwise share information about what you're playing.

Are you looking forward to Heroes of the Storm?
