Here's what time XCOM 2 launches in your territory - pre-load now
XCOM 2 begins rolling out globally very soon. Better get ready.
XCOM 2 preloads have opened on Steam, so if you pre-purchased be sure to leave your rig running to download all that juicy data ahead of launch.
The strategy sequel officially launches on February 5, but thanks to the wonders of the digital age that means something pretty different depending on your territory. 2K provided a map showing what time the game unlocks in each of three major zones:
- Asia and Australia: 5:01am AEST February 5
- Europe, Russia and Africa: 12:01am CET February 5
- East Coast US: 12:01am February 5
- West Coast US: 9:01pm February 4
If you line them up by GMT you'll see that everyone else gets the game a few hours ahead of the US, which is sure to cause a lot of grumbling - but turn about is fair play.
By the way, if you have pre-ordered (or manage to sneak in before launch time), you'll receive the Resistance Warrior Pack, which provides additional customisation options including bonus outfits, headgear and face paint, as well as the "Survivor of the Old War" recruit.
