Here's the first footage of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic fan remake Apeiron
Pre-Alpha footage of Apeiron, the fan-made Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic reboot, has surfaced and you'll notice some changes to the original gameplay in it.
The video is just over four minutes long and provides a look at four areas: the city of Anchorhead, the starting area of Endar Spire, and the lower and upper cities of Taris.
Recorded by YouTuber MrMattyPlays with the blessing of the Apeiron development team, you'll notice the game has a first-person instead o third-person perspective and the player and enemies battle in real-time rather than rounds. Also, the video shows the pre-alpha tech demo so everything is subject to change.
MrMattyPlays told Eurogamer the visuals have been compressed in the video, but the Unreal Engine 4 fan project is "visually stunning" when played.
The KOTOR community project will be accepting donations later on, and the team will obviously not charge for the final product unless they want the smack laid down on them by Disney.
You can help move the project along by donating your time as Apeiron is far from being finished.
