Here's a highlight of the funniest glitches in Cyberpunk 2077

Now that Cyberpunk 2077 is out, there's been a lot of performance issues and bugs reported across the board. Some however are at least worth a laugh.

The latest episode of Highlight Reel, posted the same day as the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 has a dedicated section to the open world sci-fi RPG, which has been plagued with bugs and glitches.

The Patreon account is run by Chris Person who used to showcase Highlight Reels when he worked at Kotaku. It's always been an entertaining way to look at all the kinds of glitches players around the world encounter in video games.

That is to say that Cyberpunk isn't alone in containing glitches - indeed, it's not the only game featured in this episode - and the way they're presented here is meant to be more endearing than critical of performance issues. The Cyberpunk glitches begins in the below video from 9:25

The clips, which appear to have been captured from a mixture of PC and PS4, show some of the more widely reported glitches players have encountered.

Videos taken from the early rescue mission show an enemy taken and thrown through a wall into the void, while another from the end of the mission Jackie smashes through a row of lockers.

Some of the more persistent asset streaming issues can also be seen in several clips where textures or models takes ages to pop up, which is especially hilarious during the opening rapid montage where the hardware is clearly struggling to keep up.

One other hiccup involves how V's able to call their vehicle to appear just like Roach in The Witcher 3. It's just that this car doesn't seem to be able to tell when it's supposed to stop.

The concluding clip just seems to smash all of the problems into one with a failure of scripting and loading, resulting in an enemy pursuing you on motorbike suddenly having their bike disappear in mid-air before they crash down on you in a T-pose.

Another highlight includes an extended clip of someone unable to control their bladder as their urine stream carries on even while they're walking away, a bug previously reported, along with the case of the clipping genitalia.

Bear in mind that these clips were taken either just after or shortly before launch, so some may have been fixed in a patch.

It's nonetheless still the case that Cyberpunk is suffering severe performance issues on last-gen consoles, which Digital Foundry have found "unplayable" on PS4.

Besides funny glitches, more observant players can also find a few neat Easter eggs referencing The Witcher.

If you're just getting started with Cyberpunk 2077, you can find out which life path you should choose to begin your story in Night City. May you be lucky in avoiding the worst bugs.
