Here's exactly what you can do in Call of Duty: WW2's social space Headquarters
Headquarters is a place for Call of Duty: WW2 players to be social, show off their achievements and more.
Headquarters, the new social space in Call of Duty: WW2, is a feature completely new to the series, and it wasn't made clear exactly what role it serves until now.
With the multiplayer gameplay reveal now behind us, developer Sledgehammer has finally sat down to detail what players can expect from Headquarters.
"This is taking you into a true space where your character, your investment, division, advancements, and customisations now have a place to live," studio head Michael Condrey told Gamespot.
"48 players come together in this living world where you can compete in new ways, like our one v. one, or shoot-offs in our virtual firing range that now becomes a living firing range. You can be rewarded, be social, and show off in ways that I know the community loves to do."
Similarly, Prestiging will be another aspect that'll be celebrated in a much more pronounced way in Headquarters. "In Headquarters, you get to go to what we are, in development terms, calling Prestige Overwatch, where you go up on the cliff above the whole Headquarters and you Prestige in front of the whole community, and you celebrate," he explained.
It's unclear whether or not Headquarters will be be part of the game's private beta, which is scheduled for late August on PS4, and Xbox One.
Call of Duty: WW2 is out November 3 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
