Who Are the Voice Actors in Fallen Order?

Fallen Order’s main cast includes actors from film, games and TV alike, with some notable talent in there to escort you through the cosmos. Here are some of the main players involved:

Cameron Monaghan - Cal Kestis

Best known for playing the Joker on the TV series Gotham, Monaghan plays Fallen Order’s protagonist. He’s been a comic book hero too, playing Superboy in the recent animated Superman films, and is a staple of Shameless in his role as Ian Gallagher.

Debra Wilson is Jedi mentor Cere. | Respawn Entertainment/EA

Debra Wilson - Cere

A career voice actor playing an experienced Jedi mentor, Debra Wilson has a long and proud history in video games, just recently playing Sophia Akande in The Outer Worlds, Grace Walker in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and General Lyons in Modern Warfare. She was also in Scary Movie 4, but maybe we shouldn’t dwell on that.

Daniel Roebuck plays cantankerous ally Greez Dritus. | Respawn Entertainment/EA

Daniel Roebuck - Greez

Here playing frog-faced furry alien “Greez,” you might recognise Roebuck as one of the leads in 2017’s Getting Grace, as well as playing Marshall Biggs in classic thriller “The Fugitive”. This isn’t his first foray into video games, however - Roebuck played Gary Finkel in Dead Rising 3, as well as a sleazy Hollywood producer in LA Noire. Pretty dark, though probably still better than being the villain in made-for-TV movie, Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever. I’ve seen it, and it absolutely was.

Ben Burtt - BD-1

Every Star Wars property needs a marketable droid sidekick, and here that sidekick is BD-1, played by Ben Burtt - sort of. Like R2-D2 and BB-8 before him, BD-1 speaks through beeps, whistles and whoops, and Burtt is credited as creating those very noises. Hardly out of character for him - Burtt is a lifelong sound designer tied deeply to the Star Wars franchise, credited with creating the voices of Chewbacca, Yoda and even the iconic hum of the lightsabers. Despite probably not having heard of him, he’s arguably the biggest star attached to this project.

Gideon Emery - BD-1/Additional Voices

Emery’s an accomplished actor who’s been in games like Destiny 2, Wolfenstein 2, Uncharted 4 and numerous others, as well as TV appearances in Teen Wolf and the Netflix Daredevil show. While at first we suspected he might be playing Darth Maul, Emery actually provides a whole range of voices for supporting characters and minor NPCs, as well as controlling the puppet used for BD-1's motion capture, apparently beeping and whistling through the whole thing to provide the basis for the little droid's sound work (according to an interview with Fallen Order's performance director in VG24/7). That's commitment for you.

Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker returns as Saw Gerrera. | Respawn Entertainment/EA

Forest Whitaker - Saw Gerrera

If Burtt isn’t the biggest star in this list, it’s definitely Whitaker, who won an Oscar for his performance as Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland. More recently viewers might remember him as a supporting role in Black Panther, and those who enjoy bad movie nights will be able to point him out as Ker from Battlefield Earth. Whitaker plays resistance fighter Saw Gerrera, a recurring character from the Clone Wars and multiple tie-in novels.

That’s our guide to the cast of Fallen Order, but you can find out more in our “Everything We Know Guide”, as well as our thoughts on whether Darth Maul will make an appearance in the game after recent evidence suggests it could happen.
