Hellblade's protagonist won't look like a "mannequin in a dress,"says Ninja Theory
Hellblade's protagonist will have a realistic body with proper proportions, according to the latest developer diary from Ninja Theory. By the way, it is a bit NSFW so you may want to turn the screen if you are sitting in an office.
According to the developer, Senua's body will resemble that of a physically fit woman instead of one with unrealistic stylized proportions.
Specifically, the developer didn't want her to resemble a "mannequin in a dress."
The goal was always to make her appear as real as possible, but the team felt it didn't "hit the mark" with its vertical slice.
In order to satisfy their vision, they brought in physical fitness specialist Vikki Wild, scanned her, and changed Senua's body to resemble hers.
Various stages of body development are shown in the video, thus the reason for the NSFW notice at the start. Bare digital breasts, basically.
Ninja Theory has a 2016 release planned for Hellblade on PC and PlayStation 4
