Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft major update detailed
Blizzard has detailed the contents of its upcoming major update to the closed beta build of Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
As detailed on a post on Battle.net, one of the major additions is new daily quests; players will be offered a choice of two classes, so there's more chance of getting one you're interested in.
Class balance is getting a major rejig, with Rogue minions being adjusted to make them less dominant and Warriors and Priests being buffed up a little. Golden cards will be updated with new animations, and you'll be able to unlock Golden basic minions at higher experience levels, so you could end up with an entirely golden deck.
The crafting UI is being updated, too, so as to make it more intuitive. Chat has been streamlined for similar reasons, and in other social news, Toasts will allow you to show off when you do something rad.
Blizzard has made it possible for players to gain experience up to max level of 60 in all modes, to give you a reason to stick around in Play and Arena modes as well as practice and matches with friends. Play mode will produce more gold, too, although Blizzard will continue monitoring this. The Arena will reward less dust and more cards and gold, as well as an extra pack or golden card at nine wins.
Full patch notes will be made available when the update actually releases.
This patch will be preceded by an account wipe, so say goodbye to your progress so far.
Thanks, Polygon.
