Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Fireside Gatherings hub encourages meet-ups

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft players are encouraged to meet up with their rivals in meat space through an initiative Blizzard is calling "Fireside Gatherings".

Blizzard's idea is for players to get together in public spaces like "coffee shops, bookstores and dorm lounges" to make friends, play and learn from each other. To tempt you out of your cave, it's even offering an exclusive card for participants.

The publisher has uploaded an event poster and event guide to assist would-be hosts in putting together a Gathering, and is hosting a list of official events. Hit up Battle.net for more, and check out the video below.

Hearthstone is a free-to-play card battler, recently ported to iPad in addition to Mac and PC clients.
