Happy holidays from the VG247 staff
It is time for us to shove cheese into our faces.
This year has been a great one for the site, but it’s also been a pretty good year for games. We’ve had some flops, sure, but the highs are right up there with some of the best games in the generation.
We’re already looking forward to 2019, which kicks off with some exciting stuff such as Resident Evil 2 Remake and Metro Exodus. But first, that cheese.
We just wanted to take a moment before we go to say thanks for reading the site to everyone except that one guy who said he wants my family to die because I don’t like the Raimi Spider-Man films.
We really appreciate you checking in each day, reading our articles, and engaging with us in the comments. You might not always agree with everything we say, but we still love and appreciate you all.
Here is a photo of Matt:
Have a great couple of weeks off if you are off work. To those who work in retail, I’ve been there and my heart goes out to you. It’ll all be over soon and you’ve got this.
Whatever you’re doing, the entire team hopes you have a great Xmas and New Year, and we hope to see you again in 2019.
We’ll be back with searing hot takes on January 2.
In the meantime, let us know what your Xmas games are. I’m currently replaying Alien Isolation, Metro Last Light, and having a crack at Tetris Effect. Tell us yours in the comments.
If you’re hungry for content over the break, we’ve pinned a feature to the homepage on web of the best features and reviews on the site in 2018 - have a read through, there’s some really great, insightful, and interesting stuff in there.
Merry Gamesmas, ya filthy animals.
