Halo World Championship announced, prize pool starts at $1 million

Microsoft has announced the Halo World Championship eSports series.
As part of the Halo 5: Guardians presentation on Microsoft's gamescom 2015 stage, Xbox boss Phil Spencer announced the inaugural Halo World Championship. The first iteration kicks off this winter with a prise pool starting at $1 million.
The championship series will focus on Halo 5's Arena multiplayer variant.
