All Halo: The Master Chief Collection games will be out on PC before the end of the year - report
According to developer Splash Damage, all games included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection's PC release will be released this year.
When Microsoft officially announced Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC, the company said that individual games would release one at a time to ensure quality meets its high standards.
This all starts with Halo: Reach, but Microsoft never said how big the gap between games is going to be, when Reach itself will be released, or give any hints about when it expects the full package to be completed.
But, according to UK developer Splash Damage, who's working on the PC versions along with 343 Industries and other third-party studios, PC players should have it all by the end of the year.
Splash Damage revealed this interesting bit of info in a recent newsletter, shared on ResetEra. "Halo: Reach is coming first, with the rest of the titles scheduled throughout the year," it reads.
This is not exactly official confirmation, but it's the closest thing we have to a timeline. Given that Reach will be starting beta tests soon, we're probably looking at a late spring launch. Unless Microsoft plans to release the rest at a rapid pace, we're not likely to get five more games in six months.
Only time will tell, of course, though we do hope the wait isn't going to be long.
