Halo 5: Guardians first in series to secure Teen rating
Halo 5 has not been slapped with a Mature content warning by the ESRB, for the first time in the core series' history.
Halo 5: Guardians has been rated T for Teens by the ESRB, the main US games classification body.
As noted by Gamespot, it's the first time the core shooter series has been rated below M for Mature - although some of the spin-offs have received more family-friendly classifications.
According to the ESRB's description, Halo 5 earned its T rating for blood, mild language and violence. It doesn't sound particularly different from the organisaiton's assessment of past halo games, to be honest; has Halo changed, or has the ESRB relaxed a bit?
PEGI has not yet rated Halo 5. It handed out 16+ ratings to Halo 4 and Halo 3.
Halo 5: Guardians launches exclusively for Xbox One on October 27.
