Halo 5: Guardians voice actor says Cortana will appear in the game

Cortana have some role to play in Halo 5: Guardians, according to the actor who voices Commander James Locke in the game.

Speaking with IGN, the actor who plays Agent Locke in Halo: Nightfall, Mike Colter, has reiterated that Locke will "transition into a Spartan" with a "prominent role within the game."

"Obviously Master Chief will be involved, Cortana, but Locke will be one of the playable characters in Halo 5," he said. "He's one of the new additions that will be featured throughout the next couple of video games. So you'll see a lot of Commander James Locke."

343 suggested as much at E3 last year when it was announced that the live-action series Nightfall would tie together the events post Halo 4 and the upcoming Halo0 5.

As for the events in Halo 4 and how they related to Master Chief and Cortana, we won't spoil the storyline for you in case you have yet to play it.

For those who have, this little tidbit should please fans of the series.

Halo 5: Guardians is slated for release on Xbox One this year, and a countdown timer on the official website - when ends tomorrow - seems to promise something juicy.
