Half-Life 3 trademark filed with EU's Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market
A trademark application for Half-Life 3 has been filed in Europe with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market.
It lists the Half-Life 3 trademark as being owned by Valve Corporation and was filed by the patent and trademark firm Casalonga & Associés on September 29.
It covers "computer game software," "downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices" and other goods and services, according to Polygon via NeoGAF.
A trademark has yet to be filed with the USPTO.
If Valve confirms this is more than just protecting its IP, surely, the Internet will explode.
