Guild Wars 2 server "Guesting" coming with January update

ArenNet has announced that the Guesting feature for Guild Wars 2 will launch with the January update. The feature allows players to "visit" different worlds (servers) temporarily, so they can quest with friends and other members of the community. Think of it as visiting the house next door but not taking up permanent residence. There are a few restrictions, which you can find outlined in the post. Free server transfers will also go the way of the Dodo with the update, so if you want to change worlds without paying anything, you will need to do it before it goes live on January 28.
