GTA Online: How to Unlock the Ceramic Pistol

GTA Online offers a new weapon in the new Diamond Casino Heist update: the ceramic pistol, a small sidearm designed for stealthy entrances. We'll show you how to unlock this handgun for yourself, and whether it's worth the effort.
How to Unlock the Ceramic Pistol
The ceramic pistol is inaccessible until you complete the Diamond Casino Heist, done by buying an Arcade from Maze Bank Foreclosures. More specifically, you have to complete the heist as a host/heist leader, and you have to do so as part of "The Big Con" approach, going in under the guise of security, exterminators or any other crew. You don't have to do any specifics beyond that, you just have to be the host, do the Big Con, and most importantly, you have to complete the heist. You actually use the Ceramic Pistol as part of the job, sneaking it through metal detectors without setting them off.
Still, completing the job isn't enough to actually get you the gun permanently. Once you beat the heist, you'll have to go to the nearest Ammu-Nation and buy it for $20,000. At that point you'll have it in your inventory like any other weapon.
Is the Ceramic Pistol Worth It?
Short answer? No. That's not to say you shouldn't do the Diamond Casino Heist as con artists - it's one of the more unique missions in all of GTA Online - but the pistol itself has no real strengths that put it above the others. Its one big feature - not setting off metal detectors - has absolutely no practical application outside of the heist itself, and even if there were metal detectors in the open world, you're probably holding three dozen other weapons that would set them off anyway. At the end of the day, we can't recommend blowing twenty grand on something no more impressive than the guns you already own.
