GTA 5 to feature at New York Film festival

Grand Theft Auto 5 will make three appearances at the New York Film Festival, including a concert featuring the score.

As part of the festival's Convergence Program, GTA 5 will be the focus of two panels.

The first panel is on Sunday, September 29 at 3:30PM, at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. It will focus on storytelling and development, with topics including the process for creating a piece of interactive entertainment, how three playable characters allows for a different type of storytelling, and how Rockstar created the world of Los Santos and Blaine County. The panel will be moderated by Adam Sessler and include select members of the dev team.

The second panel is about the game's music, and will take place on Tuesday, October 1 at 8:00PM at The Amphitheater at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. A special edition of NYFF LIVE, it's a a free-to-the-public event, and will include all of the game’s composers as well as soundtrack supervisor. It will be moderated by Ryan Schreiber, founder of Pitchfork Media.

The concert happens between these two events, on Monday, September 30, at 9:00PM, at the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle. It will feature GTA 5 score composers Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist and Oh No along with an ensemble of musicians performing a mix of tracks from the game's score.

Tickets for the Sunday panel and the concert go on sale 10:00AM ET on Friday, September 27, and can be purchased from the New York Film Festival site.
