GRID Autosport's touring car gameplay showcased, Bathurst track confirmed

Codemasters fans have a double whammy of good news today, with the first gameplay footage of touring cars and confirmation of a Bathurst track.

It's good to see touring cars back, since that was the heart of the TOCA series that gave birth to GRID. The line up includes classic and contemporary cars such as the Honda Civic Touring Car, Ford Focus ST Touring Car, and excitingly for Australian fans, the Holden VF Commodore and its rival the Ford Falcon FG, the Nissan 1991 (R32) Skyline GT-R Group A, the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Group A, the MINI Miglia and more.

The touring car trailer features professional drivers discussing this exacting discipline of motorsport, including 2013 BTCC Champion Andrew Jordan from Pirtek Racing, Team Dynamics’ Matt Neal, and Motorbase Performance’s eight-time touring car title winner Fabrizio Giovanardi.

In addition to touring cars, career mode makes room for Hypercars, Endurance GT Cars, Prototypes, Single-Seaters, Super Modified vehicles, Drift cars and more. That's just part of the content Codemasters is packing into the biggest GRID ever, with over 100 routes across 22 locations. One of these locations is Australia's famous Mount Panorama track at Bathurst.

GRID Autosport is coming in June to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
