Gran Turismo 6 has microtransaction currency, pre-order bonus detailed

Gran Turismo 6 publisher Sony has revealed that Polyphony Digital's racer includes microtransactions.

Sony revealed the in-game credits format in a post on PS Blog EU.

An excerpt from the blog reads, "From launch at retail you’ll find a new option for building your ultimate fantasy car collection. In-game credits will be purchasable through PS Store or your friendly local retailer at the following denominations: 500K, 1 million, 2.5 million or 7 million credits which you’ll be able to apply in-game for cars and parts."

It follows confirmation that Gran Turismo 6 pre-orders are now open on the PlayStation Store in both standard and special edition format. The special edition includes 20 bonus cars, PSN avatars, paint chips, race suits and helmets. Pre-order customers for either version will also get the Precision DLC pack free of charge.

It's out December 6 on PS3.
