A console port of Gone Home was announced over a year ago in March 2014. At the time, developer The Fullbright Company had a deal with publisher Majesco's indie label Midnight City.

Majesco rain into some serious financial troubles this year, which prompted Fullbright to announce that the console versions were no longer in active development.

Today, out of the blue, the studio confirmed the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are coming back. In fact, they're releasing very soon on January 12. Midnight City continues to be the publisher, and development has been shifted to Unity 5 engine.

This version of the game will be the same one found on PC, but include 90 minutes of developer commentary.
