PS5 console exclusive Godfall could launch on Xbox Series X/S in May
Counterplay Games' Godfall could be coming to Xbox Series X and S as early as May of next year.
Sony has confirmed that the title is a console exclusive to the PlayStation 5 until May 21, 2021, meaning that publisher Gearbox is free to bring the game to Xbox hardware from that point.
How long it will take the looter-slasher to make the leap to the Series X and S is yet to be seen. The game is set to release for PlayStation 5 and PC – via the Epic Games Store – on November 12.
Godfall was announced back at The Game Awards in 2019, before six seconds of gameplay was leaked in January of this year. The title was properly shown off in June.
Developer Counterplay recently shared details about Godfall's progression systems, with the studio saying that the game has a great deal of complexity for those who want to endlessly tinker with their loadout, but won't force players to grind activities that players do not like. The game does require that users are online at all times to play, though. Counterplay recently did a stream showing more gameplay and the title's UI.
Here's the minimum specs that you need to play Godfall on PC.
The PlayStation 5 launches on either November 12 or 19, depending on where in the world you happen to live. You can check out everything you need to know about Sony's new console right here.
Godfall is part of the PlayStation 5 launch line-up, alongside the likes of Demon's Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Astro's Playroom.
