God of War III bests God of War II launch by 32%

NPD's Anita Frazier revealed her industry analysis for March 2010 that God of War III has bested the launch of it's predecessor, God of War II, by 32 percent.
Revealed this evening in an industry note, God of War III sold over 1.1M units for the month, coming in at the top of the software charts.
It has been estimated that worldwide lifetime units moved for God of War II sit at around 3.58M.
If accurate, it looks like God of War III is on track to catch up with its sibling.
Kratos' latest adventure hit the US on March 16.
