Get the rundown on Ryu, Roy and Lucas in Super Smash Bros
Nintendo Treehouse gets Hadouken-happy with the latest DLC.
The first day of the Nintendo Treehouse Live E3 event included an in-depth exploration of the three new characters recently added to Super Smash Bros' roster.
The biggest news is the deal struck with Capcom that brings Ryu to the series for the first time, a move that's bound to shake up the landscape of competitive play. While the presenters described Ryu as "not for the faint of heart", longtime fans of the character should quickly find themselves at home given that he's bringing his classic moveset with him, as well as Street Fighter’s negative edge technique.
Roy from Fire Emblem may look much like Marth at first glance, but he's better in close combat situations. Watch out for his neutral B attack - it's slow to charge and costs a bit of health, but it's also the single most powerful move in the game.
Earthbound's Lucas is the latest classic character to make a return to the series. He still plays a lot like Ness, but with a few key differences, including a killer up smash.
