German Conan players will be able to avoid censorship

German fantasy gore fans have been thrown a bone today, as developer Funcom has confirmed that they'll be able to play MMO Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures on any of the European servers.

"If you buy a European copy of the game you will not be able to play towards North American servers," said Erling Ellingsen, the game's product manager. "If you buy the North American version of the game, you will not be able to play towards European servers. If you buy a European version of the game, you will be able to play on all European servers (UK, Germany, France, Spain)."

The game has had "excessive" gore removed for German release, but from the sound of it German gamers need only buy a British version and they'll be able to play it on European servers. Way to stick it to the man, German liberals.
