Gears of War 4 update increases credits earned in multiplayer, lowers cost of Elite Gear Pack

There's been an adjustment to the credits system in Gears of War 4 recently.

Although Gears of War 4 has only been out for a few hours for the vast majority of players, the game has been available since Friday for Ultimate Edition owners.

One of the points fans raised since then has to do with the how little the game doles out credit rewards when finishing multiplayer matches. The price of Gear Packs was also highlighted by players, as they're considered too high for the amount of credit you get.

Developer The Coalition has released a new update to adjust these values, citing fan feedback. The Elite Gear Pack, the highest and most expensive option, now costs 3500 credits, down for 4000. The payout you get from completing multiplayer matches has also been increased.

Although The Coalition did not specify how big the increase was, a number of Reddit users reported it being around 30 to 40 percent.

Unfortunately, the new update came with a bug that displays zero credits at the end of the match. This is misleading, as you do in fact earn credits and XP just fine, according to the developer. It's easy to verify this by glancing over the total number of credits you have.

A fix for this issues is in the works. Another fix due to come with the next patch is one that should take care of some matchmaking and connectivity problems players have reported.
