Gears 3 DLC now available after earlier "technical difficulties"
Epic has announced that the Horde Command Pack, the first of the Gears of War 3 DLC, is now available for download after technical issues delayed its release earlier this morning.
Epic has confirmed the release via a tweet from Mark Rein: "Good News! The Horde Command Pack is now available on the marketplace! Restart your Xbox to get the latest changes."
A post last night on the official Epic Games forum advised checking back there for updates, after a "technical difficulty" had the firm scrambling "around the clock" to fix the issue.
However, all is now right in the world of Sera and you can go back to fighting for your very survival.
The Horde Command Pack is the first Gears of War 3 DLC that Gears 3 Season Pass holders will gain access to for no additional charge. It adds new maps, characters, fortification upgrades and weapon skins.
The second DLC pack, due December 13, is titled Raam's Shadow. Both packs will be available to non-Season Pass holders for 800 and 1,200 Microsoft Points, respectively.
The Gears of War 3 Season Pass is available for 2,400 MSP and gives subscribers access to the first four Gears 3 DLC packs for a discount of more than 30 percent.
