Gearbox to release Duke Nukem Forever dedicated server files

Gearbox has pleased multiplayer fans with a last-minute announcement of optional dedicated servers for the PC version of the game.
Announced via the game's forums, the server files will be released as an unsupported feature.
Practically, this means Gearbox and 2K can bypass the substantial costs of supporting, moderating and updating dedicated servers, while still allowing PC gamers access to a much-requested feature. Hooray!
No release date has been set for the server files.
Duke Nukem Forever releases internationally on June 10 and in the US on June 14, for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
