Gearbox pouring more resources into Battleborn than Borderlands 1 and 2 combined
Gearbox has put quite a lot of resources into developing Battleborn. More so than Borderlands 1 and 2 combined.
This is according to studio boss Randy Pitchford speaking with Polygon during a podcast.
At present, there are 300 members working at Gearbox, and around 80% are working on the online team-based shooter, he said.
Pitchford also said in the podcast the idea for Battleborn came from him wanting to play a Jedi Knight in game fighting alongside Master Chief and Gandalf.
Other projects are in the works at the studio, some of which are in pre-production. One of these is the Brothers in Arms title which Pitchford said in 2013 would be an "authentic" period shooter like previous titles.
Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, which was announced during E3 2011 “is not a thing anymore,” if you remember.

Gearbox will release Battleborn on May 3 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Thanks, Game Watcher.
