GameTap to lay off editorial staff

According to this GI story, GameTap has decided to shut down its editorial and video branches.
"While we have been very happy with the work done by our editorial and video teams, we've made a decision to focus the business on our biggest strength, which is our game catalog," said VP of content Ricardo Sanchez.
"As a result, we will be restructuring the site to focus exclusively on gameplay."
Last year, GameTap hired veterans of IGN, GameSpot, GamePro and the US Official PlayStation Magazine to run its new editorial team. The site says all editorial staff will be laid off in mid-June.
